Kevin is originally from Talihina, Oklahoma, and graduated from the University of Tulsa with a B.S. in Business in 1992. He has spent 15 years in public education teaching business electives and coaching football, basketball and track. The first 12 years were in Oklahoma with the last three years with the Lewisville Independent School District. Kevin has a Master’s degree in school administration from Northeastern Oklahoma University and is a certified principal. He has always been involved in church activities and while coaching volunteered for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Kevin is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and is retired from the U.S. Army Reserve, where he served the last five years in the Chaplain Corps.

Kevin graduated from Perkins School of Theology in May 2013 with a Master of Divinity. While in school, he spent eight months as a student pastor with First UMC in Hugo, OK, three years he worked with the new church start, St. Andrew UMC-Frisco. In 2013-14, he was the campus pastor of a new church start (The Mission) of Prosper United Methodist Church. He is a licensed local pastor in North Texas Conference of the UMC. Kevin and his family joined St. Andrew UMC, Plano, after moving to Frisco in 2006.

He is married to his wife Leigh Ann (Pruitt) and has three children — Harrison, Madison, and Jackson. Leigh Ann is the middle school band director at Griffin Middle School in The Colony. The McClain’s now live on Lake Lewisville and enjoy spending time together.
